Why Certification?

Teachers are instrumental in sustaining the music and other forms of fine arts for generations. Each school has a unique way of teaching and mostly there are no common syllabus. Yet there remains a need for a systematic and rational certification process based on the talent of the students.

Carnatix hosted by Tournametrix Corporation has put together exactly that. The panels of experts are from both the Guru Parampara genre and academic scholars, integrating traditional and systematic schools of teaching without compromising the legacy of carnatic music.

Benefits

  1. You have one yardstick to measure your progress against so many others across the nation on a world standard syllabus.
  2. You have goals set to achieve over 7 levels so that you and your teacher can come up with lesson plan, practice plan and achieve them.
  3. One of the goals of Carnatix is to approach school districts and aim to get fine arts credit for students taking the examination. To achieve this goal, we are builiding track record of students taking this certification for the past 3 years and keep adding more and more.
  4. Carnatix is one way to bring along students under one common currlculum and provide opportunities for those who reach certain milestones.
